Activity | Overview |
|
📁 Briefing | Before starting the XR simulation, the learner receives a briefing that they will be required to sit with Meera, a mother who experienced a stillbirth 24 hours ago. The learner will be informed that there is no need to perform a physical or mental health assessment. | 🧑🏫 Classroom ⏲️ 5 mins |
🗣️ Accompanying Meera | The learner will sit with Meera in a private room off a busy maternity ward. | 🎮 XR Sim Hospital ⏲️ 10mins |
🧑🎓 Debrief | After the simulation, the recording will be watched by the learner, instructor, and potentially other students. The purpose of this is to review the learner's responses and behaviour towards Meera. | 🧑🏫 Classroom ⏲️ 15 mins |
Update from Meera | The learner will have the opportunity to view a video recording made by Meera one year after the loss of her baby. In the video, Meera shares her reflections on her time at the hospital. | Video ⏲️ 2 mins |
Below will be any records for Meera. We recommend you share them with your student before starting the sim. They are available within the sim, however it is not a great use of ‘in headset’ time:
